How It Works
A clear, solicitor-led process from start to finish
Prenuply brings together independent legal advice, solicitor drafting, and secure case management into one simple, fixed-fee process. Each step is designed to meet UK legal expectations while keeping things clear and collaborative for both partners.
Start Your Prenup

Step 1
Start Online & Share Disclosures
Online details and financial disclosure
Both partners complete their personal and financial details securely online.
You'll each disclose assets, income, savings, and debts, with full visibility between you.
This ensures:
- Transparency from the outset
- Solicitors receive complete, consistent information
- The agreement reflects your real circumstances
- You can complete this at your own pace, from anywhere.

Step 2
Choose Independent Solicitors
Independent legal advice for both partners
Each partner selects their own independent, SRA-regulated family law solicitor from our panel.
Your solicitors:
- Act independently for each of you
- Review the same shared disclosures
- Provide advice in line with UK court expectations
Prenuply handles the coordination, so you don't need to find or manage law firms yourselves.

Step 3
Solicitor Meetings
Private consultations, arranged online
You'll each meet your solicitor remotely at a convenient time.
These meetings allow your solicitor to:
- Explain the legal implications of the agreement
- Advise you independently
- Confirm the agreement is entered into freely and with understanding
These consultations are included as part of your fixed fee.

Step 4
Draft Agreement & Joint Revisions
A clear draft, reviewed together
Based on your disclosures and solicitor input, the agreement is drafted by the solicitors and delivered through the Prenuply platform.
You'll then:
- Review the draft together online
- Propose changes collaboratively
- Submit one consolidated set of revisions
To keep the process fair and efficient:
- One round of joint revisions is included
- Revisions must be agreed by both partners
- A 7-day window is provided to submit changes
Nothing is finalised until both partners confirm they are comfortable with the wording.

Step 5
Final Agreement & Certificates
Your completed prenuptial agreement
Once revisions are approved:
- The agreement is finalised by the solicitors
- Certificates of independent legal advice are issued for both partners
- The final agreement is made available securely in your account
You can download and store your documents for safekeeping, knowing the agreement has been prepared with the appropriate legal safeguards in place.
